I found an old chart from 2006. I realized I have weight
battles and have never won the FAT war. I have gone through some interesting
diets in my life. Mostly starved and normally felt under nourished. Yes, I did
all the popular ones. When you're over weight, you try a lot of them. Bouncing
up and down. After 53, I found it impossible to lose weight. My energy level
was too low. I could never eat less and actually wanted to eat more to satisfy
some desire. I got on some women's hormone diet. That was weird and my doctor
warned against it. I did lose weight and thought it successful. I ate
meat, daily and cooked veggies and no carbs. Lost 40lbs in a month and but my
energy level was still too low. A year later the weight I lost was all back.
In 3 months juicing and eating whole foods like, mostly raw veggies, soy beans,
legumes, hummus, some nuts, etc. I have lost 37 pounds but the big miracle is
my energy level. I noticed the increase in energy the first few days of
juicing. I knew I was on to something. Now if I eat to much "regular" food or
go back to my pre-juice eating habits, I go to bed way too full and feel worse
the next day. Going to bed a little hungry is way better than too
full!
Once you start this juice way of life, a few of your friends may
caution you that there's too much sugar or not enough protein, etc, etc. They
may tell you stories about this or that. Well, after doing some research it
appears there's plenty of protein in veggies, some more than others and by using
"My Recipe" outlined
here, Diabetes, type 2 seems to cure itself with juicing. Now, do your own
research and don't stop taking any meds unless you get doctor approval
